Yes, you must be a licensed cosmetologist in your state to enroll.
Can I apply if I am still in cosmetology school?
Yes! We recommend you fill out an application when you have 8 weeks left before graduating school. Upon acceptance, you can begin your training and be certified at the same time you receive your license.
Do I need to have extension experience to apply?
Absolutely not! Some of our best stylists have been those who’ve never picked up a needle and thread before.
Can I apply if I don’t speak English?

When will I hear back about my application?
Our current waitlist is 10-14 days. After that someone from our Admissions team will contact you via text message.
How long does the course take to complete?
We want you to set a goal to complete within 8 weeks. But within those time frames, it’s really up to you and the time you set aside to work on your certification. Some finish in as little as a week! As long as your communication with your mentor is constant, you have as much time as you need to complete your training.
Can I do in-person certification?
Yes! Starting January 2022, we will offer a hybrid training of in person and online certification. We don’t believe our method can be taught in a day, but you can come get your start in our education center and leave with the confidence you’ll need to complete the certification online.
More details coming soon.

The IBE® Method Difference
What’s the difference between IBE® and other “invisible” methods?
IBE® was created with the health of the client’s scalp and hair at the top of our list. We create a unique track that focuses on flexibility and equal weight distribution. Our track is durable and is easily maintained due to the continuous track. We believe that minimal points of contact equal maximum points of damage. Unlike other traditional beaded weft methods, with IBE® there is no contact of a bead with the scalp at any time. Because of that, as well as our focus on proper tension, IBE® is a much more comfortable extension experience for guests.
With IBE®, our focus is on the precision of stitching and beadwork which allows for a longer time in between move ups.
How is an IBE® flip up different then others?
Invisible Bead Extensions® is known as the “Original Flip Up” for good reason. It was the first extension method to even show a bead-less flip up. We were the first to truly research and develop a method which put the safety of the clients hair and scalp first. We were the first to be transparent with our grow out, showing the world what our guest’s extensions look like at 6, 10, 16, and 26 weeks! Nothing to hide here!
Many methods have tried to copy the IBE® flip up but we are confident that what is taught here remains the best. Our attention to detail is unmatched. Our emphasis on proper tension and placement is not found in any other extension training system. Our authenticity will never be in question, for we know that we created this to solve the problems with other methods and training systems, not to just copy a photo.
How is your training program unique?
We dont believe our method can be taught or learned in a day. For this reason, we created our education videos for you to watch as many times as you’d like from anywhere in the world. We start off on the right track by pairing you with a private IBE® mentor who will be there to help you every step of the way. From start to finish, you’ll get all the support you need.

How often do I need to get my extensions moved up?
We recommend your first move up at 7 weeks. At that time, your stylist will evaluate your grow out and determine if you can go longer in between appointments. On average, most women get their rows reinstalled between 8-10 weeks.
How long is the average appointment time?
One row takes on average 45-60 minutes to install. The longer a stylist has been IBE® certified and practicing the method, the quicker they are!

Quality hand-tied hair will last on average 6-12 months. With proper styling care and the proper use of professional hair products, you can easily get one year out of your hair. The hair we have in our IBE® online store is the highest quality hair on the market and we can only vouch for that. There are many types of hair on the market with different origins, so make sure you’ve researched the company if you look outside our store.

IBE® is not a one price fits all. Pricing is different for everyone and is dependent on many factors. Contact your certified stylist of choice from our locator and they will set up a consultation appointment to go over everything with you.
I had an IBE® install and it looks nothing like your pictures, what should I do?
First, verify that your stylist is indeed on our locator. Second, if you’re unhappy with your install we recommend contacting your stylist and let them try to make it right. If you do not wish to see them again, find another stylist on our locator. We provide the same in depth education to all of our stylists. Unfortunately some choose to further their education and practice… others do not and this is out of our control.
What products do you recommend using on my extensions?
We recommend only using professional products on your extensions. We prefer Kevin Murphy or Davinese products.
What if I have a problem with my IBE stylist.
Unfortunately we have no control over our stylists and how they run their business . If you are unhappy with your stylist first contact them and see if they can make it right with you. If they cannot, find another stylist on our locator.

I’m having a problem with my Kitsune hair extensions! What can I do?
Please email email@example.com for all questions.
How do I take good care of my hair?
We recommend brushing your hair 3-4 times a day and then braiding it before you go to bed. It’s also best to sleep on a silk pillowcase or use a silk bonnet. Use good quality products like Davines oi, and Davines natural tech; Anything really moisturizing is amazing for our hair. Stay away from anything “reparative”. Anything that has keratin in it, olaplex etc is not good for hair extensions.
Will the wefts match your hair color?
Proper consultation is so important for color match so be sure to go to an IBE® stylist who has a Kitsune color ring!
Are they long lasting?
Hand tied hair extensions typically last between 9-12 months, depending on how you care for them. It is very important to use professional hair products on hand tied extensions.
Is The Great Wave curly or wavy?
It is definitely more of a curl than a “wave”. We named this collection The Great Wave after a famous Japanese painting.
Does the curl relax?
No, our curly hair does not relax. So make sure the texture match is correct upon consultation.
Can I razor cut this hair?
We never recommend razor cutting curly hair, but especially not when wet. You can razor cut our straight hair though.
What is your return policy?
We offer returns or exchanges for unopened products within 2 weeks after purchasing. Anything that has been opened or unbundled is no longer eligible for return. If you have any other questions, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
